Adoption Process

Our adoption process begins with filling out our Adoption Application, which may be downloaded from our current adoptions page, and returning it to us via your preferred method of contact. Once we receive your application, we will call for a phone interview with you, and discuss your application and the dog you are interested in adopting. Following the phone interview, we ask that you meet with us with all family members and your pets (if possible) to meet your potential new family member and spend some time with them to ensure it is a good fit for both humans and pets in the household. The final step in the adoption process will be scheduling a home inspection to check for safety issues for the dog. Once the home inspection is finished, we will set a time to bring your new family member home to you. We want you to be aware that we do charge an adoption fee of $200 – 400, depending on the needs and background of the dog. These fees are necessary, and without them we would not be able to continue our rescue work. Adoption fees help us cover the following costs (this is just a small sample of possible expenses we incur):
